Youtube Susan Boyle Video gets record number of Youtube views!!
Who is Susan Boyle?For those who have not heard of Susan Boyle they would have had to have lived in a cave for the past two months.
Susan Boyle admitted to millions that she was a 47 year old woman who had never been kissed. In response to this Singles Canada posted this video in honor of Susan Boyle:
Susan Boyle is just one of thousands of women AND men who are pre judged by what they look like. If she was to appear on a onlinedating service, she would probably be overlooked because men do not look beyond a photo and find out more about the person inside. As they say, you should never judge a book by its cover, and Susan Boyle is the best example of someone who was and it was done in front of millions of people. When I watched the video I saw a gutsy woman standing in front of thousands of people at a live audition. She did not appear nervous and performed a flawless rendition of I Dreamed a Dream. She immediately changed the audience and the judges minds very quickly. I wish this was true in the online dating world, that everyone is given an opportunity to say "Look at my photo but do not judge me too soon". I hope that after the show is over, that she can find true love and live happily ever after.
A little history about Susan Boyle - On the first Youtube video they portrayed her as a dowdy, single women from a small village in Scotland. When asked where she was from, she seemed very nervous, and when she told them her age, she did a little cheeky hip shake and said 47 and that is only one side of me. You could see the judges including Simon Cowell, rolling their eyes in disbelief, the audience looked embarassed for the woman. The audience and judges had already pre judged her due to her unpolished appearance. As soon as Susan Boyle opened her mouth and started to sing, the audience and the judges were blown away. She went on to get a standing ovation. Many people have said she is "The Woman Who Shut Up Simon Cowell".
Since her performance, thousands of people have posted video's about Susan Boyle. Record numbers of viewers (over 100 million) have seen her on Youtube. She has appeared on Oprah Winfrey Show, and was even invited by the President of the United States to a dinner. Before her appearance on Britain's Got Talent, in 1999 she sang her rendition of "Cry Me a River" which has been viewed by millions on Youtube as well.
Even if Susan Boyle does not win Britain's Got Talent, Simon Cowell has already talked about signing her up under one of his record labels.
